Elektric Animals

Elektric Animals

For fans of: Cage The Elephant, The Black Keys, Cold War Kids

Elektric Animals is Denver’s premier alternative-rock group, and they’ve been continuously proving that for years now through their catchy, eccentric songs. They are a perfect example of what happens when you combine various influences, ranging from Disco to Indie, in order to form a brilliant, modern sound. Consisting of Nick Sanders and Will Hubert, their songwriting abilities and expert musicianship has allowed them to grace some of the biggest stages that Denver has to offer, including Mission Ballroom and even playing a sold out show at the Oriental Theater! Their musical forte is something to be inspired by and with the release of their new EP A Bear and The Bull, they have continued to hone in on their skills and create more catchy songs to remember.

Don’t miss Elektric Animals at their EP release party at Lost Lake on Saturday, April 27th - along with The Mssng and Elyse Therose!

For fans of: The XX, Olivia Rodrigo, Orla Gartland

Alana Mars not only has perfected the art of storytelling with her music, but she manages to hook listeners in with her unforgettable vocal melodies and dreamy instrumentals. Blending the sounds of Bedroom Pop with Indie elements, Alana does a great job at conveying a spectrum of emotions within her songs. Not to mention she has one of the most unique voices on the scene today which just adds to the beauty of her music.

You can witness Alana’s incredible voice live for yourself on May 4th for her EP release show at Lost Lake. This show will be to celebrate her brand new EP, The Prologue.

Edith

For fans of: Title Fight, Modern Baseball, Free Throw

Upon my first time witnessing the magic of Edith live, I was absolutely blown away from the first song they played. For all of those angsty midwestern teens out there and the forever emo kids, Edith has exactly what you crave in a band. Emotional vocal lines blend with fast-paced, aggressive drums and virtuoso guitar work to give you the sounds you know and love, similar to the likes of Title Fight and Modern Baseball. They have such raw, sheer aggression and emotion in their songs that you can’t help but to blow out your voice screaming along.

Check out Edith’s newest single “Adorn”, and also catch them live on April 27th at the DV8 Distillery in Boulder as part of Lunar Lux Fest. You can see them again on May 10th at the Goosetown Tavern in Denver as well!

Replica City

For fans of: Citizen, Hum, Thursday

Releasing their brand new EP Gift of Knives back in March, Replica City have already shown that they can hang with the best there is on the scene through their hard-hitting, powerful songs and enthusiastic live performances. Replica City’s songs are not only powerful, but the musicianship found on their EP is truly remarkable. I must also say as a drummer, Nate Rodriguez’s drum parts with Replica City are incredibly tasteful and dynamic, and they really add another depth to the songs that otherwise wouldn’t be there. If you need your post-hardcore or post-punk fix, then Replica City is the answer.

You can stream Replica City’s new EP Gift of Knives everywhere online now. They have more shows on the way, but in the meantime you can plan on seeing them this August as part of Ghost Canyon Fest, which runs from the 23rd - 25th in Denver.

Mike Railey

For fans of: Weezer, Death Cab For Cutie, Talking Heads

The diversity found in Mike Railey’s music is hard to come by and a rare find these days in such an oversaturated market that tends to be full of the same monotonous sounds. Letting his pop punk roots show in some songs, Mike Railey blends those influences with Indie and Pop Rock acts such as Talking Heads and Death Cab For Cutie to form a truly unique and refreshing sound. Whether you’re into more Indie sounds or just some grooving Pop Rock, Mike Railey has a wide array to suit all tastes.

Make sure to be on the lookout for Mike Railey’s brand new album Pont Neuf, which releases on April 26th. Additionally, you can see Mike live on May 3rd at The Lions Lair in Denver.
