Get Turned On With Horse Bitch On “Sex Bot”

Horse Bitch is one of those timeless bands that I have talked about before, and will continue to talk about for as long as they’re around. Horse Bitch is known for combining elements of Midwest Emo with Country aspects and Indie vibes, along with even some heavier influences. They continuously prove to be not only entertaining, but thrilling, profound, and impressive with every new release of theirs. Their new single “Sex Bot” is no exception to this.

“Sex Bot” opens with a serene intro featuring some gentle guitar strumming and is complimented by the lovely violin work of Olivia Shaw. The song continues to build momentum over its 3-minute runtime especially thanks to Alec Doniger’s impressive jazzy drum parts throughout the song. The layering of instruments is also exceptional on “Sex Bot” and it seems like with every new listen of the song you can discover something new; from the lap steel, various guitar sounds, vocal harmonies, dreamy violin melodies, and dynamic drums. I will also say, despite all of Horse Bitch’s typical shenanigans there still seems to be a deepness within their music that resonates with the soul of the listener. I personally never thought there would be a lot of emotion to be found in a song called “Sex Bot”, and yet Horse Bitch somehow finds a way to do it and get their point across. “Sex Bot” is yet another brilliant demonstration of musicianship and songwriting from Horse Bitch. Additionally, I have found myself walking around the house just repeating the last chorus of the song: “beep, boop, bop - I’m a sex bot…”. Thanks Horse Bitch, my neighbors really appreciate it.
