For fans of: Hot Mulligan, State Champs, Against Me!

Veterans of the music scene here in Denver, you can’t possibly have a conversation about anything punk without bringing up the hard hitters in Bury Mia. Time and time again, Bury Mia have proved why they’re considered the top of the game and they have established themselves for not only putting on an epically entertaining live show, but for having deeply emotional songs that pull at your heart strings and have you losing your voice by the end of the night. They have opened up for the likes of: State Champs, A Day To Remember, and even more - and there’s a reason once you see them live!

Speaking of which, their next show is at the Bluebird Theater on January 21st with Trash, Compass & Cavern, and Clementine. Additionally, they’re dropping a new single “What Is This? (A Song For Ants)” on February 9th, so be on the lookout for new music!

For fans of: Tame Impala, Cage The Elephant, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets

After releasing their debut album Forbidden Fruit in 2023, Sour Magic’s journey has only just begun. Blending psychedelic sounds with those of popular Indie rock bands such as Cage The Elephant, Sour Magic is able to distinguish themselves amongst the crowd where it seems bands are either one or the other genre these days. Despite a line-up change in late 2023 that would setback most bands, Sour Magic proved themselves to be resilient, and, with new singer Eliseo Salinas joining the line-up, they are stronger than ever.

You can see Sour Magic for yourself at their next show on February 2nd with VCO and Shady Oaks at Lost Lake. They are also releasing a new single “Elevator” - which is set to come out on January 26th!

For fans of: Snuffed On Sight, Foo Fighters, Post Animal

Originally from Hastings, Nebraska - Spitting Image recently relocated to Denver, and although relatively newcomers to the scene, they’ve already managed to establish themselves as being a force to be reckoned with and if anything, the underdogs. The amazing thing about Spitting Image is the versatility of their sound, and this can be seen in the sheer variety of the bands they play with, ranging from psychedelic rock bands to heavy-hitting emo and pop punk acts. Spitting Image show no signs of slowing down anytime soon, with a successful tour in mid-January and new music on the way throughout the year, including their brand new single “Forgotten”, which is available everywhere now!

Los Toms

Los Toms Band

Los Toms

For fans of: Sleep, Electric Wizard, YOB

From Fort Collins, Los Toms immerse you on a trip of psychedelia through their music and give you the droning sounds of bands such as Sleep, mixed with the heaviness of bands such as Crowbar or Electric Wizard. Their sound is not only dynamic, but immersive as well. Furthermore, Los Toms are known for putting on one heck of a live show to remember and they do a great job at shifting from extended jams and solos, to straight-up head banging riffs to get your blood pumping. Fusing both English and Spanish lyrics together with hypnotic sounds and trippy visuals, Los Toms have a depth to their music that is hard to replicate or simply describe with words.

For fans of: Origami Angel, Manchester Orchestra, The National

A Place for Owls gives us songs to ponder life on and reminisce of the past and better times long forgotten. Combining melancholy with an undeniable power and persistence, the music comes with a profound impact on the psyche. Folk elements combine with the sounds of midwest emo to give you a sound similar to acts that have mastered such a feat, such as Manchester Orchestra; to give you songs that will hit you right in the feels. After releasing their self-titled debut album in 2022, Owls have only continued to gain a larger following, both in Denver and elsewhere.
