Lose Your Voice On EDITH’s New Single “Dream Sequence”

I first discovered EDITH (abbreviation for “Everybody Does It To Him”) this past Summer whilst playing a show with Years Down, and since then I’ve been following them closely and I always try to see them live at any opportunity I get to do so. With the recent resurgence of pop punk and emo music into the spotlight with festivals such as When We Were Young and Warped Tour’s pending comeback, EDITH fits right in with the likes of heavy-hitters on the scene today such as Bilmuri, Hot Mulligan, Like Roses, Trash Boat, and Belmont. Combining technicality with sheer emotion, EDITH’s new single “Dream Sequence” is a perfect blend that allows the vocals to shine while also demonstrating the exceptional musicianship within the band. Not to mention the memorable chorus of this song is perfect for listeners to lose their voice to. “Dream Sequence” is the ideal recipe that any fan of the genre could ask for when it comes to a perfect blend of dueling vocals, math rock-esque guitar, and syncopated drums. You can just feel EDITH’s raw passion for their music and the emotion is reflected in the deep lyrical content of the song itself. For being one of the newer bands on the scene, EDITH have already proven themselves to one of emo’s top contenders and I’m excited to see where they go from here!

EDITH has a string of shows coming up to promote their new EP "‘I’m Drowning But I Know I Dreamt It” (releases December 3rd), which can be seen below:

  • December 13th: Vultures - Colorado Springs, CO

  • December 14th: Hillside Pizza - Boulder, CO

  • December 15th: Globe Hall - Denver, CO
